<\/a><\/p>\n The Sherwood Forest neighborhood of Charlotte was established in the 1950s and is a great area of town for being close to in-town areas of Charlotte and still being a relatively affordable place, comparatively.<\/p>\n The area is just south of Cotswold and is bordered to the north by North Sharon Amity Road and the south by Rama\/Sardis roads. The western border is formed by Randolph Road, while the far eastern border is marked by the railroad tracks just southwest of McClintock Middle School. In addition, the SouthPark area is only about 4 miles from the center of the Sherwood Forest area.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n A trip to the Uptown or Dilworth area is only 15 minutes from Sherwood Forest, making commuting or weekend entertainment or sporting events a convenient trip. There are also many parks, country clubs and green spaces near the neighborhood. The Charlotte Racquet and Swim Club is only a mile away as well.<\/p>\n Sherwood Forest is made up of lovely traditional brick ranches or bungalows. There are also some traditional 2-story homes as well. There are many renovated or updated homes in the neighborhood, while also occasionally some great deals for homes in need of TLC.<\/p>\n A total of 28 homes have sold in Sherwood Forest during the last 12-month period. The average sales price for those homes was $378,830 and nearly $169 per square foot.<\/p>\n
