Sherwood Forest is convenient to Cotswold Shopping Center, as well as all of the shopping and dining options along Independence Boulevard and Strawberry Hill. In addition, the SouthPark area is only about 4 miles from the center of the Sherwood Forest area. 
A trip to the Uptown or Dilworth area is only 15 minutes from Sherwood Forest, making commuting or weekend entertainment or sporting events a convenient trip. There are also many parks, country clubs and green spaces near the neighborhood. The Charlotte Racquet and Swim Club is only a mile away as well.
Sherwood Forest is made up of lovely traditional brick ranches or bungalows. There are also some traditional 2-story homes as well. There are many renovated or updated homes in the neighborhood, while also occasionally some great deals for homes in need of TLC.
