Providence Park is a fantastic, mature neighborhood in town that gets far less attention than its flashier neighbors like Myers Park, Foxcroft and Barclay Downs.

The neighborhood is tucked away off Providence Road at the edge of Cotswold near Sharon Amity Road. The best of Charlotte is just 15 to 20 minutes away in any direction!

Though the neighborhood is surrounded by some of Charlotte’s heaviest traveled roads, Providence Park has only 1 through street – Rutledge Avenue – that connects to Randolph Road. Its quiet cul de sac streets feel far removed from the surrounding hustle and bustle of the city.

Within walking distance of Providence Park are restaurants and shopping at Cotswold shopping center or nearby Eddie’s Place and Chipotle at the corner of Sharon Amity. Strawberry Hill is at the southern corner of Providence Park, where you can find boutique shops, restaurants and everyday essentials at The Fresh Market.

Uptown (6 miles), SouthPark (3 miles) and Park Road Shopping Center (3 miles) are all less than 15 minutes from Providence Park and require no traveling on the interstate to get there. The neighborhood’s proximity to Charlotte’s major thoroughfares make moving about the city a simple task.

If you work, play golf or shop in Ballantyne that is still less than 30 minutes away, as is shopping at the Arboretum.

Nearby is beautiful Myers Park Country Club for golf or other member activities. There are also a host of activities at the Levine Jewish Community Center.

In addition to its great central location, Providence Park is surrounded by some of Charlotte’s oldest and most spectacular neighborhoods, such as Myers Park, Eastover and Foxcroft.

Providence Park is comprised mostly of older brick homes that were built during the 1950s to 1970s. There have been some tear downs in the neighborhood and newer homes put in their place. There is a mix of ranch and 2-story traditional homes in Providence Park, many of which have been renovated.

Location makes Providence Park a very desirable neighborhood, as rising home prices have spread from Uptown to the in-town neighborhoods like Providence Park and Barclay Downs.

Sale prices in Providence Park averaged $608,102 and $210 per square foot. Fully renovated homes sold above list price in the last year, while all sales averaged 97.6% of list price.

The highest priced sale of the last 12 months was a 4,400-square-foot new construction home that sold for $1.15 million. and was the highest sales price in Providence Park during the last 12 months. The lowest price of a home sold in the last year was $380,000.
